I cried ♥

Valentine's Day is quickly moving up on my list of favorite holidays.  (Last year was good, but the mood was killed over dinner when he told me to not get my hopes up: I would not be getting a ring....it was totally worth the wait/killed mood on V day for 14 days later when I got the ring.  Read the story if you haven't yet)

This year:
My husband had me believing we I was eating a burrito for dinner (by myself) when I got home from work.  (we were/are waiting to "do" something for V day until this weekend when we will have a little bit of monies from pay day)

BOY WAS I WRONG!

My savvy hubby moved furniture, cooked fish, and even found a fireplace app on his computer!  (Not to mention the Kenny G pandora station that was playing on the iHome)... I was definitely shocked  -in a good way-.  Quite the jump from burrito to romantic Valentine's dinner for two, eh?

We weren't thinking completely straight and didn't remember to take pictures until dessert, so....yeah.  sorry this is all you get to see (dinner was amazing.  take my word for it):

Dessert-those are tissues..  I was bawling at first.  Such a sweet surprise!

"Fireplace"

He made tilapia with rice & broccoli for dinner and the cake said "I ♥ U" on it.  The candle is one of our 'honeymoon' candles (the only one we have, actually :(  -darn those halloween pumpkins-) and those are some fancy glasses we got for our wedding and have never used! woot!

I will also have you all know that I tried to post this from my iPhone a couple hours ago and it freaked out and lost the whole post when I tried to publish it.  grrrrrrr.

Oh well.  Y'all should also know I started last week's 3 tangent tuesday post, never finished it, and here we are already on another tuesday..whoops!  (Working on blogging more....working on it...)

Peace out!  My husband rocks!

Lookie...

This really fun chick I know is having a giveaway.

I have lots to blog about, but I'm going to go watch the bachelor on Hulu right now before my battery dies.  Scotty took the charger with him and mine is at work in SLC :(

Three Tangent Tuesday

I'm going to start following in the footsteps of some of the cool blogs I read and post my workouts here.  I think it is good motivation for both my blogging and workout habits!

Workout:
  • Started P90X with Scotty last night.  (Like he needs it with all that Air Force stuff) but it was a lot of fun and HARD work!  sweat central.
  • Watched the Bachelor this morning while riding my bike w/the cool trainer my father in law let me borrow:

I have no idea if this is the same one, but its similar.
I think I need a different seat though.  Everybody has told me since I bought the bike that I would get used to it, but even when I was riding ALL the time, I hated it.  anybody have a cool seat they love they want to donate to the cause? ;)

In lieu of the half marathon training, the couch 2 5k program is where I'm starting right now.  After that I'll pick up one of those 12 week training programs from either nike plus or marathonrookie.  I counted it up, and FROM TODAY, the DL 1/2 marathon is 33 weeks & 5 days away (That leaves ample time to get through both programs and finish some school, right?)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let's see if I am cool enough to remember to do this every Tuesday as I was challenged to do do :)

First: I LOVE when my old friends who are cool and moved away contact me just to say hi!  One of my BEST friends from high school contacted me this week and it definitely helped the day/week go by much happier.

Fun Fact: this is 9th grade.  My husband is in this pic too :)  We sure were young back then!

Second: I COULD EAT NUTELLA FOREVER.  I know its not very good for me, and don't even look at the nutrition label (you might cry), but it is SO yummy.  Sure, it is good on stuff like toast, but a true lover eats it straight off the spoon.  I'm sure my being able to do that comes from the fact that I love condiments--and if its anything like arby's sauce I could eat it straight from the package. (sorry if thats gross, but it is true).

He understands...

Third: I picked the most un-Christmas-y looking cookie jar we have to hold the candy we want guests to eat. We have a few cookie jars, but one is a jack-o-lantern, one is a ginger bread house, and one is a harry & david bear holding a package to be mailed:

Cool present from mi madre!
